How Spinal Decompression Therapy Works
Before therapy begins, we collect a thorough set of X-rays to identify the specific areas of compression, misalignment or degeneration. From those images, the specific decompression protocol, decompression table, and overall treatment plan is determined.
During each session, the patient lays back while a gentle pull, calculated specifically for that patient, works to gently open the spine and relieve pressure between discs. The sensation for most patients is immediate relief. We also calculate the angle of the pull, to ensure that the focus of the therapy is precisely on the disc or discs that are the source of the pain. For most patients, the treatment is extremely relaxing and comfortable. In fact, during the 20-minute treatments, many patients fall asleep.

No Prescription Drugs – No Opioids
With each treatment, the pressure and pain will lessen, and a level of comfort and mobility will be restored. As the pain is reduced, we work to strengthen the muscles around the disc to maintain the correction and relief achieved through spinal decompression therapy.
The truth is, back and neck pain is often caused by simple things – too much sitting or bending over a computer, lack of activity, weakening of back or stomach muscles or gaining a few extra pounds. There is no need to mask this kind of pain with medications. It is easily fixed with the common sense of spinal decompression and other complementary, non-surgical therapies.
